It's an amazing way to stream lots on info to one place, but it can be too much! Just checked my google reader page and saw how much there is to it - really needs tidying, but I don't use it much anyhow.
I guess the trick is to find those information sources that you will use, that will mean the most to what you offer professionally.
Twitter
have been a twit on twitter for some time, not using it much. But I can see the attraction when you have instant updates to your smartphone (if it hasn't been lost!!).
Really impressed by output of East of England Librarians on twitter see www.eel.nhs.uk as example.
BTW saw an Irish comedian Aishlinn Bea over the weekend give a David Attenborough like account of the niteclub scene in a small Irish town. For some light entertainment I got this from her tweets
